Building Control Surveyor
Location: Blackpool
Hours: 37 per week
Remote Work: Considered (site visits required), occasional office attendance
We are seeking an experienced Building Control Surveyor to join our dedicated team. This role is integral to ensuring quality development across major initiatives and projects in Blackpool. The city offers a unique scope of activities, providing extensive opportunities for professional growth and varied experience.
Key Requirements
Minimum Class 2E registration with the Building Safety Regulator (Assessment & Inspection).
Full membership in CABE, RICS, or MCIOB.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Building Control sector.
Detailed knowledge of building construction and excellent understanding of Building Regulations.
Full driving licence and access to a car.
Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of domestic and general non-domestic projects, taking enforcement action when necessary.
Conduct site inspections and liaise with relevant organisations and consultees.
Assess and ensure compliance with Building Regulations 2010 (as amended) and the Building Act 1984.
Inspect and address dangerous structures, instructing necessary remedial actions.
Prepare case files for enforcement or legal action.
Provide expert advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
