Job description

Tutor Assessor, Health and Care - term time

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time (term time) health and early years assessor at our Thurrock campus. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with our T level early years, L2 early years learners, and L3 health learners in their work placements supporting successful outcomes on the work experience elements of programmes.

An assessor qualification is essential, as is excellent communication skills and the ability to use online forums such as Teams. Ideally, applicants should have relevant experience of assessing learners in care industries and experience of working on the newly implemented T level qualifications. Applicants should have their own vehicle for ease of traveling around the community to visit learners. This role is 37 hours per week, 36 weeks per year.

Anyone starting midway through the academic year will have their monthly salary slightly reduced, as staff need to have worked a certain length of time through the academic year to be able to receive continued payment through the summer, when you won't be expected to work. The actual figure would be calculated once a start date is confirmed. At the beginning of the next academic year, the monthly salary will revert to 1/12th of the whole pro-rata salary quoted.
