Principal Mechanical Engineer
Are you a passionate and driven engineer who wants to take the next step in their career?
Orion is working with a company that is a global engineering service provider specialising in designing, manufacturing, developing, and delivering automated and intelligent software solutions.
This role will involve technical leadership and guidance to a team of Mechanical Design Engineers, so experience in automation systems, including robotics and material handling equipment will be a distinct advantage.
Responsibilities of the Principal Mechanical Engineer
- You’ll be tasked with leading innovative design initiatives within the organisation.
- The successful candidate will drive the technical strategies by leading multidisciplinary teams in the development of complex mechanical systems and components.
- Conduct thorough analyses using FEA/structural analysis/fatigue analysis theory to validate designs.
- Lead the R&D initiatives to create novel designs and oversee the design and integration of industrial automation systems.
What we would like from the Principal Mechanical Engineer:
- BSc or MEng in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Minimum of 5 years in mechanical design engineering with a proven track record of leading complex projects from conception to production.
- Proficient in FEA, 3D CAD, and 2D CAD.
