Job Summary – Working Sunday to Thursday Nights

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Night Shunter/FLT to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our production facility, ensuring the safe and timely movement of goods. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, along with proficiency in Shunter vehicles around the yard, moving trailers, forklift operation and materials handling.

Responsibilities:

• Shunt vehicles and trailers around yard.
• Operate forklifts to load and unload goods from lorries and storage areas.
• Ensure accurate shipping and receiving of products, maintaining compliance with company procedures.
• Manage the movement of materials within the production facility, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Conduct regular checks on inventory levels and assist in stock management using production management systems (ERP System).
• Execute heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are followed to prevent injury.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organised work environment.
• Utilise basic maths skills for inventory tracking and reporting purposes.
• Undertake admin duties to book in stock, etc.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of Shunting and FLT work is preferred.
• Valid forklift licence is essential.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes within a warehouse setting.
• Excellent materials handling skills, including the ability to lift heavy items safely.
• Basic mathematical skills for accurate inventory management and reporting.
• A proactive approach to safety and attention to detail in all tasks undertaken.

The Rate of pay is £13.85 per hour with a pay award pending. Working Sunday to Thursday Nights.
