EMEA Service Engineer - Combustion/Flares


Client
Our client is a well-established global manufacturer of power generation/turbines/combustion to a myriad of industries including Marine, Petrochemical, Waste to Energy, Hospitals, Education, Offshore Oil & Gas, and Power Generation. Their market-leading comprehensive product range has gained them an enviable global reputation synonymous with excellence in over 100 countries that utilize their products/services. The ROLE
Mana is proud to be acting on our client's behalf in their search for an exceptional International Field Service Engineer to join their team within the oil and gas industry. This role involves considerable international travel, often at short notice, with approximately 200 days a year away. When not traveling, you will be based at home. You will be responsible for:

  1. Undertaking on-site maintenance and troubleshooting
  2. Starting up/commissioning new combustion systems on-site
  3. Preparing RAM's
  4. Working with PLC's
  5. Conducting plant surveys
  6. Training client staff
  7. Identifying aftermarket opportunities
  8. Working with combustion products and systems including burners, thermal oxidizers, flare systems, and pollution control equipment

The CANDIDATE
The successful Multi-skilled Service Engineer will be a consummate professional with experience within a similar environment, allied to the desire and ability to forge a career within a market-leading organization:

  1. Be a good multi-skilled Mechanical/Electrical Engineer
  2. Good understanding of P&IDs
  3. A working knowledge of PLCs
  4. Combustion knowledge and/or PetroChem/oil & gas background advantageous
  5. Strong background in a mechanical/electrical/chemical field
  6. It is vital that you are comfortable with considerable time working abroad - up to 200 nights per annum
  7. Comfortable working at heights/confined spaces/offshore
  8. Well presented with excellent customer-facing skills

Role is home-based when not working, with only occasional trips into the office, so can live anywhere in the UK. Suitable living locations include: Cambridge, Peterborough, Nottingham, Northampton, Leicester, Kings Lynn, Hull, Aberdeen, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Bristol.
