Job description

We are looking for experienced and passionate Receptionists & Hosts, who have a love of great food, drinks, people and genuine hospitality. We’re looking for someone with drive and ambition, who can inspire and motivate themselves and their teammates to help us deliver an amazing hospitality experience for our guests.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be an experienced Front Office, Hotel Receptionist or Restaurant / Bar Host, helping us to manage our guest restaurant reservations and hotel check-ins and check-outs. You will provide a warm welcome for our guests, ensuring their journey with us has the perfect welcome, a friendly departing goodbye, and you've done everything possible to make their visit or stay with us the best possible experience. We’re looking for individuals who can work to our brand standards, processes and procedures to maintain the highest of standards whilst also providing that genuine friendly hospitality experience that makes people want to return. Both Full and Part Time positions are available.

ABOUT THE SUTHERLAND

The Grill Pub Co have acquired The White House Hotel in Muxton, Telford and the venue is currently undergoing a £1m transformation into a stunning brand new restaurant, lounge, bar and hotel named The Sutherland.

The Sutherland will be Shropshire’s newest “hot spot” for beautiful décor, delicious food, handcrafted cocktails and modern bedrooms. It’s going to be amazing for the local community and the wider Shropshire County, and we want you to be a part of it.

WHAT HAPPENS NOW…

We’re holding a Recruitment Day on the Saturday 9th November 2024 at Ramada by Wyndham Telford Ironbridge which is located in the heart of Telford. Interview slots will be available throughout the day from 10am until 4.30pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Is already in a Front Office, Hotel Receptionist or Restaurant / Bar Host role, or is in a role with significant guest-facing similarities.
  • Has very good telephone handling skills, able to work with computers and software packages, and confidently able to juggle guest-facing duties with administrative tasks.
  • Is a strong communicator who enjoys being a part of a team.
  • Has a natural ability and passion for exceeding guests’ expectations.
  • Has a passion for all things hospitality, service, and the guests' dining experience.
  • Has a desire to learn, grow and develop.
  • Can adapt and stay calm in a high-paced environment.
