Senior Planner/ Principal Planner

Location: Leeds

Role Overview:
We are currently seeking a Senior Planner/Principal Planner to join a growing planning consultancy in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity for planning professionals with experience in development assessment, Local Plan policy, and planning advocacy. You will have the chance to lead commercial and residential projects, providing strategic planning advice and working closely with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leading development assessments and planning applications.
  2. Providing strategic planning advice and support for residential and commercial projects.
  3. Managing client relationships and ensuring high standards of service.
  4. Overseeing the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals.
  5. Contributing to policy development and Local Plan consultations.
  6. Mentoring junior staff and supporting their professional development.

Ideal Candidate:
  1. Degree in Planning or a related field, with relevant experience in planning consultancy.
  2. Strong experience in development assessments, planning advocacy, and Local Plan policy.
  3. Excellent communication and client management skills.
