The successful candidate would take a lead role in the assessment and treatment of patients with complex asthma, dysfunctional breathing disorders, exercise related breathlessness and those requiring airway clearance within paediatrics at RBH using expert knowledge and skills to determine the physiotherapy management indicated.
They would lead the team in planning, co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating the paediatric non-CF bronchiectasis, complex asthma and dysfunctional breathing physiotherapy service on a day-to-day basis across outpatient settings across the Cardio Respiratory and Intensive Care directorate within the Evelina London Clinical Group.
They would be responsible for the continuing professional development and overall performance of all staff in paediatric physiotherapy in this specialist clinical area, supported by Band 7 paediatric physiotherapist and Band 6 rotational physiotherapists. The successful candidate would take a significant role in the education and training of paediatric staff regarding relevant issues in airway clearance, complex asthma, dysfunctional breathing and exercise related breathlessness. They work in partnership with all members of the physiotherapy and paediatric teams to ensure continued development of the service through research and evidence-based practice.
