Job description

We’re on a mission to provide equitable access to economic opportunity, for everyone.

We close critical skill gaps in the workforce through a new kind of apprenticeship that combines work and learning. We begin by recognizing high-potential individuals both inside and outside of a company's current workforce and then we create applied, guided and equitable learning programs, with measurable impact. Because we believe the world needs a better way to match its potential.

We work with over 1,500 leading companies including the likes of Microsoft, Citi and Just Eat to help solve their business-critical problems, and we’ve trained over 16,000 professional apprentices in the tech and data skills of the future. This is made possible by our global team who are driven to achieve a mission that matters, together.

Join Multiverse and help us set a new course for work.

The Opportunity

As a Learning Assessor, you'll not only contribute to the development of our apprentices but also expand your own skillset. You'll have the opportunity to:

  1. Broaden Your Subject Matter Expertise: Work across various apprenticeship programmes with the opportunity to up-skill in fields like Data, Business Transformation and AI; gaining exposure to diverse industries and topics.

  2. Enhance Your Feedback and Communication Skills: Provide detailed, constructive feedback that empowers apprentices to thrive.

  3. Contribute to Innovation: Play a key role in improving our assessment processes and contributing to the overall quality of our programmes.

Specifically, you will

  1. Provide detailed, accurate, and timely feedback on apprentice assignments, adhering to provided rubrics and marking schemes.

  2. Master the use of our assessment platforms and tools to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in grading.

  3. Maintain a high level of consistency and quality in your assessments, aligning with Multiverse's assessment criteria and standards.

  4. Contribute to a positive learning environment by providing clear, actionable feedback that motivates apprentice growth.

  5. Take ownership of assessment related issues by proactively identifying and reporting any assessment-related issues and improvement opportunities.

  6. Collaborate with operations and quality teams to ensure accurate and reliable assessment data.

  7. Build and maintain credibility with apprentices by demonstrating a strong understanding of programme concepts and assessment criteria.

  8. Continuously contribute to process improvements by providing feedback on assessment methodologies.

About you

Necessary:

  1. 1+ years of work experience in industry/academic environment or equivalent.

  2. Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise feedback.

  3. Strong attention to detail and ability to apply assessment criteria consistently.

  4. Passion for supporting the development of others through effective assessment.

  5. Ability to learn and adapt to changing assessment tools and rubrics.

Desirable:

  1. You have industry experience/a high level of professional interest in 1-2 domains we teach (AI, Data, Software Engineering, Business Transformation), and a willingness and ability to expand your knowledge to work across all programmes.

  2. Experience providing feedback in professional or academic setting (not necessarily written/formal).

  3. Experience with predictive analytics knowledge (i.e. any experience with forecasting, building predictive models, regression etc.).

Benefits
  1. Base salary - £30,000 per annum.

  2. Time off - 27 days holiday, plus 7 additional days off: 1 life event day, 2 volunteer days and 4 company-wide wellbeing days and 8 bank holidays per year.

  3. Health & Wellness - private medical Insurance with Bupa, a medical cashback scheme, life insurance, gym membership & wellness resources through Gympass and access to Spill - all in one mental health support.
