We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join a very successful independent media agency based in Soho. As an organization, they have an entrepreneurial attitude and pride themselves on being faster and more agile than some of their bigger competitors.

The Role:
As a Senior Power BI developer, you will lead the development of advanced Power BI solutions. Your contributions will play a crucial role in shaping the data-driven decision-making processes of the company and enhance the value they provide clients.

Responsibilities:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Data Visualisation specialist, with strong campaign performance reporting skills and a passion for data analysis. The role will focus on several key deliverables:

1. Leading the design and development of advanced Power BI reports and dashboards
2. Providing guidance on data modeling (including sourcing data from our ETL platform) and DAX calculations
3. Collaborating with stakeholders to define data requirements
4. Ensuring data security and compliance
5. Troubleshooting and optimizing Power BI solutions
6. Mentoring and coaching junior developers
7. Enabling fast, easy, self-serve BI in every team

How the team works:
The Analytics & Insight team is responsible for leveraging the vast amounts of client data to discover insights, identify opportunities, and build data products to drive the business forward. They collect data from dozens of data sources, ranging from industry research, macroeconomic data, web analytics info, transactional data, subscriptions and memberships, customer event-level data, media data, third-party data, and more.

The business logic applied to the data is complex and the end uses for data are varied. All this requires well-designed, robust, future-proofed data visualisation and performance reporting skills that can keep up with the business.

Required skills & experience:

1. Experience as a Power BI developer
2. Extensive experience in developing and optimizing complex Power BI solutions using Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power BI Pro, and Power BI Mobile
3. Proven ability to design and implement efficient & scalable data models
4. In-depth knowledge of data integration techniques and tools
5. Experience with data pipeline orchestration and automation
6. Advanced knowledge of DAX calculations and data modeling
7. Proficiency in SQL and data warehouse concepts would be advantageous
8. Expertise in performance tuning and optimization of Power BI reports and SQL queries
9. Some exposure to other visualisation platforms (Looker Studio) would be beneficial
10. Experience working with automated data collation through the use of web APIs and ETL platforms would be beneficial
