Lead CGI Artist

Our OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for a Lead CGI Artist to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a 12-month contract position initially until 31st March 2026, with the potential for further extensions.

Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.06 per hour.

Position Description:

Skills Required:

1. Strong experience in automotive CGI/Visualisation image creation.
2. Strong experience in automotive CGI/Visualisation animation.
3. Strong experience in automotive CGI/Visualisation realtime.

Experience Required:

1. Expert knowledge of Design processes in a Design studio environment and where Visualisation fits into this.
2. Strong level of experience in the creation of Visual Stimulus (e.g. Computer-Generated stills/animation, VR, real-time).
3. Strong level of experience using relevant Design software (Autodesk Maya, VRED, Vray, Unreal, Adobe creation suite).
4. Understanding of CG Render pipelines.
5. Strong understanding of Digital Material Creation and Translation processes.
6. Excellent organisation and communication skills.
7. Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.
8. Strong IT / Microsoft Office skills.
9. Strong Leadership skills.

Experience Preferred:

1. Working knowledge in game engine driven pipelines C++.
2. Previous hands-on pipeline creation experience.
3. Experience with Django/HTML/Java/CSS.
4. SQL DB experience.
5. Knowledge of our product portfolio.
6. Demonstrated will and ability to improve and optimize production workflows.
7. Relevant animation / rigging experience.
8. Colour theory concept understanding.
9. Expert in digital material creation using Substance Suite.
