Multi-Trade Operative

Devon based covering the South West

£34,376 - £36,185 per year

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:30pm

We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our team, covering different sites across the South West. These works are predominantly in domestic properties and include carpentry, plumbing, installing doors/windows, plastering, tiling, fencing, and general maintenance. Due to the nature of the role, a company van will be provided as well as power tools in order for you to complete jobs to a high standard.

Base office location is Paignton, so occasional travel will be required to this site.

The role of Multi-Trade Operative will include:

• Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or setting into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
• Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer

Skills and experiences:

• To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical). If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS) are necessary.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation
• Skills in some of the following disciplines – plumbing, carpentry and joinery, kitchen and bathroom installations, UPVC door and window fitting
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize workloads, work to deadlines and plan ahead
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
