Financial Analyst

Bixby Research & Analytics is currently seeking a Financial Analyst based out of our Glasgow, UK office.

We'll Count on You To:

Bixby is looking for an energetic, entrepreneurial self-starter that will work alongside senior research staff (many of whom are based in Chicago, United States). An ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, prior experience in finance and/or accounting, strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of a growing business.

1. Support senior research staff to maintain real-time coverage across a broad universe of companies.
2. Compile detailed financial models with the ability to process detailed reconciliations, restatements, and acquisitions.
3. Review company documents to identify news, financial and non-financial data in real time.
4. Prepare and review own work product to ensure accuracy and completeness in a time-sensitive environment.

What You Need to Have:

1. Bachelor's degree required.
2. Accounting and/or finance experience required.
3. Comprehensive understanding of cash flows and the linkage between financial statements (BS, CF, IS) with the ability to build and maintain financial models and interpret financial ratios and metrics is required.
4. Detail oriented with established skills in accuracy, organization, and experience working in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
5. Highest level of integrity to keep sensitive business information confidential.

What Would Make You Stand Out:

1. Accounting, finance or economics degree strongly preferred.
2. Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) and/or pursuit of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification are strongly preferred.
3. Prior experience at Big Four accounting firm, investment bank, investment management or leveraged lending strongly preferred.
4. Strong understanding of credit with experience in leveraged loans and/or high yield bonds is preferred.
