Preston Accountancy Services Ltd Caerphilly, Wales, United Kingdom

We are a small but growing Accountancy Practice based in Caerphilly. Established over twenty years ago, we have been growing consistently for the past few years and are therefore looking to extend our team.

We have a vacancy for an experienced PAYROLL/ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT to join us on a part-time basis. This will be an on-site position but free on-site parking can be made available.

Responsibilities
  • Accurate data entry of client information using Visual Transaction, Sage Online and QuickBooks Online.
  • Bank reconciliations both manually and using the above-mentioned software.
  • Preparation, checking and submission of client VAT returns using software.
  • Processing of weekly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls for clients using MoneySoft.
  • Maintaining the practice software and CRM system.
  • Speaking to clients by telephone and in person.
  • General administrative duties such as filing and greeting clients.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience in most, if not all of the above-listed responsibilities, ideally from working within a UK accountancy practice for at least two years. Although AAT will be a benefit, those qualified by experience will also be considered. Experience in all the responsibilities listed above is an advantage but experience of UK payroll and data entry is essential, as is excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Those with no experience of UK payroll, VAT or accounts will not be considered.
