New Build Conveyancer - Fully Remote

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join my clients team on a fully remote basis as a Conveyancer focusing on New Build property transactions. This does not involve plot sales.

Key Responsibilities and Activities

1. Representing clients who are purchasing new build properties (This does not involve plot sales).
2. Responsible for managing a caseload on a day-to-day basis which includes all aspects of the conveyancing transaction from instruction to completion, registration and closure of the file.
3. Taking instructions, keeping accurate file notes, communicating with clients and 3rd parties, and completing tasks. You will draft legal documents including Standard Precedent Letters, Contract Packs, Exchange and Completion letters, general correspondence, and Land Registry and HMRC forms.
4. Conduct Pre-completion, Land Registry and Conveyancing searches accurately and timely. You will ensure the file is ready for exchange and completion, making sure all the correct and necessary paperwork and funds are in place.
5. Carry out Post Completion work including preparing and sending applications to the Land Registry, Stamp Duty Land Tax submissions, file closures and checking account ledgers.
6. Conduct file housekeeping, adhering to compliance requirements, and keeping your caseload up to date.
7. Checking account ledgers.

Skills & Experience Required

1. Qualified candidates with a Law Degree, LPC, qualified Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor or Legal Executive (FCILEX) are preferred but not essential.
2. Experience of running your own caseload from instruction to completion.
3. Excellent communicator, who can demonstrate good time management, alongside organisational and problem-solving skills.
4. Accuracy and the ability to pay attention to detail is crucial.
5. Self-motivated and able to work alone or as part of a team.
6. Knowledge of Case Management Systems and Microsoft Office especially Word, Excel and Outlook is preferred but not essential.
