You will become part of a vibrant Pre-Sales engineering team, interacting with a wide array of global customers and distribution partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Building on your engineering knowledge, you will collaborate with customers, mobile network operators, government entities, and application developers to technically qualify products for significant opportunities, thereby driving projects on a global scale. You will represent the customer's voice within the company, contributing to the Sales/Business Development and Product Management teams.

This role demands a proactive individual who can cultivate extensive customer relationships and deliver an exceptional customer experience from the initial meeting through to requirements capture, solution proposal, demonstration, tendering, and closure. It is a hands-on position that requires both practical sales engineering abilities and strategic insight.

Daily Activities:
Our customer base is diverse, spanning various industries and markets worldwide. Our comprehensive LTE and TETRA solutions are tailored for users in multiple sectors to address their critical communication needs. There is no routine day in this role. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Articulating the vision and value of our products to the Sales team and partners to aid the selling process.
  • Proactively identifying technical opportunities through customer engagement.
  • Capturing and understanding customer requirements, proposing technical solutions, and building the internal business case with Product Management.
  • Responding to tenders (RFI/RFP) in a detailed and professional manner.
  • Conducting SWOT analysis on competitor products and preparing tender influencing technical requirements for use in pre-tender actions.
  • Preparing and delivering solution-based product presentations and demonstrations to customers.
  • Executing customer proof of concepts (POCs).
  • Understanding competitor offerings and providing input to the sales team on product positioning and differentiation.
  • Collaborating with Product Management and Marketing to enhance product messaging that differentiates our products in the market, giving them a unique selling point.
  • Planning and participating in the launch of new products, both internally and externally.
  • Travelling to customer premises globally.
  • Representing the company at customer-facing events.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to travel within the UK and internationally, so a valid passport and a full driving license are required.

Due to the nature of our customer base, the individual may be required to complete UK Security Clearance (SC) vetting.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in Pre-sales engineering, working alongside a sales team.
  • A strong background in Android, Cloud/SaaS, 4G/5G networks, AWS, or Enterprise Mobility Management.
  • Experience engaging with T1 carriers and private network operators to qualify products through onsite technical sessions.
  • Demonstrated ability to confidently deliver technical presentations and demonstrate equipment to audiences of varying sizes.
  • An affinity for both sales and technology functions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with technical and operational customers up to senior levels.
  • Proposal and Tender writing experience.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Commercial acumen and organisational awareness.
