Job description

Expleo are seeking an Automotive Exteriors Engineer to work within a globally successful automotive OEM, based in Bedfordshire, on a contract basis.


The successful Exteriors Engineer will be required to develop exterior trim parts including bumpers, grills, spoilers, back door finishers, and side mouldings.


Responsibilities of the Exteriors Engineer include:
  1. Development of exterior trim parts - primarily plastic injection moulding
  2. Working with stakeholders to take exterior trim parts from design concept to manufacture
  3. Design release of parts on time and on budget
  4. Supplier management including design, test, quality and timing to achieve key project milestones
  5. Budget calculation and allocation of parts
  6. Root cause analysis, reporting of concerns and part development and/or delivery issues
  7. Participate in design reviews, sharing knowledge and experience

Background and experience required for the Exteriors Engineer position:
  1. You will ideally be degree educated
  2. Experience of Automotive Exteriors parts development
  3. Microsoft Office skills
  4. Knowledge of NX CAD and TeamCenter is desirable
  5. Valid driving licence for driving in the UK
