Qualified Social Worker - Advanced Adults Safeguarding Team in Castleford, UK - Earn £35 per hour for 3 months. Join us in this thrilling locum opportunity in our Advanced Adults Safeguarding Team. The role offers flexible working hours and the possibility of full-time engagement. The team provides essential cover until 7pm during weekdays and from 9am to 5pm on weekends, so you will engage in some out-of-hours work.

What you will do:

1. Triage incoming referrals, providing urgent responses, information, and signposting to appropriate services
2. Attend multi-agency meetings and lead initiatives to champion team developments
3. Act as a Best Interest Assessor, AMHP, Practice Educator, or ASYE Assessor as needed
4. Provide effective communication over the phone, ensuring concise and informative interactions
5. Participate in crisis intervention and offer short-term support to individuals

Experience:

1. Minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience
2. Experience working with people with learning disabilities
3. Experience working with individuals with serious mental health problems
4. Experience working with mentally disordered offenders
5. Experience in a forensic mental health setting

Qualifications:

1. DipSW or equivalent recognised by CCETSW
2. PQ1 (or willingness to undertake within 12 months)
3. GSCC Registration
4. Driving Licence
5. Approved Social Worker (for Principal Forensic Social Worker role) or willingness to undertake ASW training
6. Practice Teaching award
7. NVQ Assessor
