HGV Mechanic

Brook Street Recruitment is partnering with one of Ireland's largest commercial rental companies, based in Mallusk, to recruit full-time HGV Technicians.

About the Role:
As a vital member of our service team, you will deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining and repairing our fleet to the highest standards. Whether you are a newly qualified vehicle technician or an experienced mechanic from a dealer group or independent garage, we invite you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Mechanical Servicing and Maintenance: Conduct routine servicing and maintenance on commercial vehicles and trailers.
2. Diagnostic Fault Finding and Repairs: Perform diagnostic fault finding and repairs to ensure all fleet items meet high standards.
3. Variety of Tasks: Work on general servicing, major repairs, engine overhauls, and gearbox replacements.
4. Preparation for MOT/PSV: Prepare vehicles for MOT/PSV inspections.
5. Breakdown Assistance: Provide roadside assistance and vehicle breakdown support when needed.

Requirements:

1. Qualifications: Level 3 qualification in HGV Maintenance & Repair or similar.
2. Experience: Proven mechanical experience with commercial vehicles and/or trailers.
3. Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial vehicle systems and diagnostic fault finding.
4. Licence: HGV Class 1 licence is desirable but not essential.
