Job Title: Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Scunthorpe
Salary: £88.84 - £105 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: After Easter 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a passionate and dedicated Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a supportive school in Scunthorpe. Key Responsibilities of SEN TA:

1. Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a secondary school setting.
2. Help the class teacher create a welcoming and inclusive classroom.
3. Assist students with their schoolwork and encourage positive behaviour.
4. Work closely with other staff to provide individual support for students.
5. Offer care and guidance to students when they need it.

Requirements:

1. Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
2. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
3. Ability to manage difficult behaviour calmly and professionally.
4. A commitment to keeping children safe and promoting their well-being.
5. A caring and understanding approach to supporting students.
6. A complete CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps explained.
7. An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
