Our established Client in Dover is looking for a Mechanical Technician.

Salary: up to £40K pa DOE

As Mechanical Technician you will:

• Carry out all aspects of improvement, maintenance and repair works to assets within the team’s particular area of expertise.
• This will require considerable technical knowledge over a wide range of engineering plant, equipment, and installations.
• You will be required to carry out maintenance and repairs on a wide range of equipment, which includes Linkspans, HGV’s, RORO Tugs, Cranes, Hydraulic systems, vehicles, and small floating craft
• You will be required to carry out this work to a very high standard, working on one’s own initiative and with minimal supervision.

Mechanical Technician - Skills and Qualifications

• Apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline to minimum NVQ level 3 standard and associated C&G’sor equivalent
• 3 years post trade-qualification experience in relevant discipline
• Hydraulic, heavy machinery, plant and or vehicle experience
• Experience of reviewing and creating RAMS
• Experience of Mechanical assessments and fault diagnosis
• Technical specialist knowledge in a wide range of plant and equipment
• Good standard of IT literacy
• Full driving licence
• Experience of welding/fabrication would be advantageous
