Speech and Language Therapist

Tasks

• Assess clients with complex neurological and communication difficulties
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care
• Provide training and support to families and caregivers
• Document progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Assess and provide therapy to introduce AAC systems
• Work with individuals using a sensory impairment model approach
• Contribute to the development of services and therapy options for our clients

Requirements

• Must have a degree qualification in Speech and Language Therapy and be registered with the HCPC
• Experience working with children and young people with complex needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and willingness to participate in training
• Dysphagia competencies (not essential)
• AAC experience both high and low tech
