Our pharmacy department is committed to providing an innovative service that focuses on patient care and experience, and we’re currently hiring enthusiastic Pharmacy Medicines Management Assistants to join us. This is an ideal opportunity for you to start your career in Pharmacy, developing your knowledge and experience in our dynamic and diverse team.
This is a great role to start your career as a Pharmacy Assistant, as you’ll receive all the training and support you need to be your best. You’ll support Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians by providing supervised pharmacy services, including dispensing of medicines, replenishing and maintaining ward stocks and patients’ own medicines.
Working under supervision at all times, you’ll also work on the inpatient hatch receiving prescriptions, deal with routine enquiries from patients and hospital staff, maintain drug stocks, assemble prescriptions, and check and receive deliveries using Pharmacy systems. The department rota, in which you’ll participate, will include late nights, weekends and Bank Holidays.
To rotate through all areas of the technical service, in particular wards and the Inpatient Dispensary.
Participate in patient centered care at ward level.
Ensure that medicines are available when needed.
Provide customer service to healthcare professionals at the Inpatient Hatch.
