Job description

Underwriting Leader for the Company's US and Global War, Terrorism and Political Violence Delegated Authorities

  • Location: London/Chelmsford
  • Type: Permanent

Key Duties (including but not limited to):

  1. Be responsible for the management of aggregates, exposures and limits in line with the delegated contracts.
  2. Responsible for the management of referrals for in scope products.
  3. Work with the Global Broking Centre Crisis Management Leadership in the ongoing development and improvement of the facilities.
  4. Lead on financial planning and reporting for the facilities as part of a Divisional Process.
  5. Lead and manage the underwriting team including development programmes.
  6. Track record in technical Underwriting.
  7. Previous WTPV/Terrorism or International Property experience in the London Insurance Market.
  8. Understands the mechanics of running an MGA business.
  9. Well-developed knowledge of FSA requirements and standards.
  10. Commercial acumen and negotiation skills of the highest order.
