Job Description

Our client is a leading provider of comprehensive repair and maintenance services for a wide range of vehicles, plant, and machinery. They specialise predominantly in Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs). Key Responsibilities:

  1. Service, maintenance, and repair of all types of petrol and diesel engine vehicles, plant, and machinery, with a focus on HGVs.
  2. Conduct regular, cyclical safety and roadworthiness inspections, including MOT preparations.
  3. Diagnose vehicle defects using diagnostic equipment.
  4. Perform general repairs and major overhauls or replacements of engines and gearboxes.
  5. Attend vehicle breakdowns and conduct necessary roadside repairs.
  6. Carry out automotive electrical work.
  7. Perform gas and electrical welding.
  8. Undertake any other tasks related to the repair and maintenance of HGVs, plant, and machinery.

Skills Required:

  1. Strong understanding of the transport industry.
  2. Minimum of two years of experience working on HGVs and/or LGVs.
  3. Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  4. Capability to work under pressure.
  5. Willingness to work as part of a team.
  6. High attention to detail.
  7. Good organisational skills and time management.
