About this Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst or Project Controls professional with a passion and experience in providing data analytic solutions to clients on major Energy construction projects. This role can be based from any of our key offices on a permanent basis, joining a team of experienced Consultants looking to provide innovative, novel solutions to clients.

In this team, you will play a crucial part in delivering and monitoring Nuclear, Defence and Clean Energy programmes which are the most technical and complex challenges facing the UK today, helping us leave a safer environment for future generations.

Your day-to-day could sometimes involve:
  • Apply tools and techniques for data analysis and data visualisation (including the use of business information tools)
  • Summarise and present data and conclusions in the most appropriate format for users
  • Supporting identifying new business development opportunities and driving growth across the business
  • Delivering high quality Project Controls service and deliverables ensuring that services meet our Customer’s requirements.
  • Reviewing scope of appointments to ensure services are being delivered by team members in accordance with appointments
  • Managing and maintaining Customer relationships (i.e. Clients, business partners and other consultants)
  • Managing employees, focusing on retention and development
  • Developing and enhancing Gleeds Integrated Project Controls capability and proposition
  • Leading and supporting bids for services
  • Managing the commercial aspects of projects (e.g. scope of services/deliverables, invoices, payments, and debt management).

However, no two days are the same; we are a flexible team that supports each other’s projects as well as getting involved with wider business activities, and we believe that variety is key to your development.

What we are looking for in our next Project Director – Data & Reporting
  • Specific sector related project experience (nuclear/defence/decommissioning) is advantageous but not essential.
  • Significant project controls experience spanning risk, cost, change management, data reporting, planning and scheduling combined with general technical knowledge which should include the following: engineering, manufacturing, procurement, construction, operations, finance etc.
  • Working knowledge of contracts such as NEC3, NEC4, FIDIC contracts
  • Experience within data analytics, data modelling and data visualisation.
  • Degree qualified in Construction Management, Data Science, Engineering, IT, or similar disciplines.
  • Professional qualifications and/or membership of the RICS, CIOB, CICES, CIPS or other relevant Chartered Institute are desirable, and will be supported if not already attained.
