Job description

We have partnered with a beautiful contemporary brand, known for their exquisite fit, who require a Senior Garment Technologist with a specialist in Denim.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Garment Technologist who is experienced at advising product teams on best fit, construction, and sustainability practices, as well as wash and dyeing techniques for Denim.

Ideally, you will have a mixed branded garment background with a proven background in denim.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strong communication skills are required as you pivot between stakeholders in the business.
• Provide technical advice on garment construction and fabric technology.
• Fit and execute garments adhering to the designer’s vision.
• Ensure commercial decisions are taken whilst maintaining an awareness of Critical Path.
• Develop the company technical manual and guidelines and issue AQL standards to external partners.
• Work closely with suppliers, especially to execute standards expected in denim.
• Ensure and maintain testing standards.
• Manage the PPS production sealing process.
• Develop junior members of the technical team.
• Propose commercial solutions to issues as they arise.

Required Skills:

• Must have experience as a Garment Tech role, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience with luxury products.
• Strong knowledge of pattern cutting, grading, and sewing techniques, as well as denim washes.
• The ideal candidate must be able to work well with multiple stakeholders and at the same time be capable of managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong team player, and good communicator who thrives in a friendly team environment.
