JOB TITLE: Security Compliance Officer

LOCATION: London Heathrow Airport/Occasional travel to UK Airports

WORK PATTERN: Monday to Sunday - 5 on 2 off, 40 hours per week

REPORTING TO: Head of Security

SALARY: Competitive

OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION

The security compliance officer will be responsible for conducting compliance monitoring throughout the security functions in aviation that ABM provides. This involves rotating between different sites on and off airport observing, assessing, and coaching agents ensuring they are completing their roles to a government-required standard and, in some cases, to an airline standard too. The opportunity will allow the successful applicants to work with high-profile clients within aviation with exposure to working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving, and changing environment.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for conducting compliance monitoring on and off airport on agents who conduct any security searches
  2. Responsible for conducting covert testing on any security searches
  3. Collating all monitoring data and completing data analysis on findings
  4. Generate reports from data and feed any trends to the Head of Security
  5. Generate data from covert testing
  6. Be an expert on all security searches
  7. Coach and re-train agents in all security search areas
  8. Observing all areas where a security search is done (catering, secure clean, man guarding, etc.)
  9. Effectively manage all data
  10. Build effective relationships with the operational teams and agents
  11. Develop and maintain relationships with all key stakeholders
  12. During inspections and audits, compliance officer will support Head of Security and operational team as/when required
  13. Provide effective and engaging leadership to the frontline agents
  14. Extract learning from reports and work with Head of Security for rectification actions
  15. Understand the regulator approach
  16. Work closely with Training Team to maintain knowledge and compliance
  17. Lead investigations for missed test pieces/missed items
  18. Conduct workshops for agents
  19. Expand covert testing through our security functions
  20. Build in-house data analysis and support the development of the compliance app
  21. Support the development of new material for training
  22. Create internal reports for trends directly linked to missed test pieces or missed items
  23. Create and develop new initiatives to promote aviation security

Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Experience working in a regulated environment
  2. Knowledge in operational security aviation
  3. Experience in Excel, data analysis
  4. Understanding of compliance regulations
  5. Able to attain and retain an airside pass, including counter-terrorist check
  6. Good communication skills and ability to adapt to a changing environment
  7. Driving license (both manual and automatic)
