We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and manage the Human Resources department of the business. This role is vital for maintaining our excellence in HR practices and supporting the strategic growth of our business.
We are looking for someone who would like to take the next step in building their HR experience in a healthcare setting. You will be reporting into the Managing Director, and working closely with our Recruitment Manager, supported by our HR system and external HR advisors. You will also be working alongside our Operations Manager, Clinic Coordinator, and Facilities Manager to support the strategic growth of the business.

Role Overview: As the HR Manager, you will lead all aspects of Human Resources, including end-to-end recruitment, training and development, employee relations, compliance, and operations. You will provide frontline HR advice and guidance, oversee HR systems and policies, and deliver key people-related data analysis to ensure HR practices are aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Operations and Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the HR department, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Provide frontline HR advice and guidance to staff and management on HR processes.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process to ensure timely and effective staffing.
- Manage employee records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
- Define and oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including administrative and operational aspects.
- Manage contracts, offer letters, and employment documentation.
- Ensure seamless transition during employee status changes such as promotions, transfers, and exits.
- Oversee a performance appraisal system that drives high performance and professional growth.
- Organise and coordinate company events to foster a positive workplace culture.
- Attend and participate in weekly HR/Recruitment meetings, and act as a liaison between HR and other departments.
- Partner with executive leadership to support strategic initiatives and business goals.
- Develop HR strategies aligned with the business's goals.
- HR Systems and Data Management:
- Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of HR systems (e.g., HRIS, payroll systems).
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within HR systems.
- Collect, maintain, and analyse people-related data to identify trends and support decision-making.
- Prepare and deliver HR reports to track progress against key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support the annual salary review process by providing comprehensive data and analysis.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and improvement to enhance efficiency.
- HR Policies and Compliance:
- Lead the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, conducting internal audits to ensure compliance.
- Develop and update policies as required to align with employment legislation and business needs.
- Manage and review employee records and ensure adherence to GDPR and data privacy regulations.
- Ensure compliance with UK employment laws and regulations, keeping up to date with legislative changes.
- Support the organisation in maintaining compliance with CQC standards and regulations.
- Address and resolve compliance issues promptly and proactively.
- Conduct regular reviews to ensure adherence to employment law and internal governance.
- Payroll and Benefits:
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in collaboration with the finance team.
- Manage employee benefits programmes, including policy enhancements, enrolments, and inquiries (e.g., medical indemnity insurance, health & wellbeing programmes, etc.).
- Training and Development:
- Identify and implement training, mentorship, and development programs for all job roles to ensure high performance and team effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, preferably within a healthcare, international or multi-site organisation.
- CIPD qualification at Level 5 or above is required.
- Demonstrated HR management experience with comprehensive knowledge of HR function, processes, and policies.
- Knowledgeable in employment law and regulations in the UK.
- Strong analytical abilities with the capacity to prepare and interpret HR data.
- Experience in managing employee benefits, payroll, and HR systems.
- Proficiency in HR systems and tools.
- Prior experience of working in a CQC environment would be desirable.
