HGV Driver (C+E)

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Pay Rate: £15.45 per hour + overtime
Shift patterns: Any 5 days from 7, start time 5am
Location: McKinney Road, Newtownabbey - BT36 4PE
Closing date: Monday 5th August

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a HGV Driver to play a vital role in our distribution service.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Drive safely and compliantly at all times;
• Be legally compliant with working time directive and EU Driving hours legislation;
• Maintain regular contact with the transport team;
• Comply with local legislation requirements and company policies and procedures at all times;
• Represent DHL in a professional manner to customers and provide excellent customer service at all times;
• Regular completion of vehicle checks;
• Manual handling of customer products;
• Timely and efficient completion of deliveries and transportation;
• Undergo regular training and driving assessments.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Valid Driving License C+E (Class 1);
• Driver CPC certification;
• Ability to move product in line with H&S regulation;
• Previous experience of driving an artic truck;
• Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules;
• Ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions;
• Knowledge of EU driving regulations and geographical area.
