Music is a highly regarded and valued subject within this school and the team feels that Music can support learning in other curriculum areas, including but not limited to listening, discipline, independent study, increasing concentration levels, perseverance, confidence, creativity, and respect towards others. Music teachers teach key stage 3 and key stage 4.

Minimum rate of pay: INLINE WITH YOUR PAYSCALE
Hours: 8am - 4pm, plus parents evenings
MUSIC TEACHER JOB:
The position is open to both Music ECTs and experienced Music teachers. You will be joining a successful, well-structured department. The Music Department boasts a range of state-of-the-art facilities including a variety of instruments and music suites.
THE SUCCESSFUL MUSIC TEACHER WILL BE:
To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students teaching and supporting all designated classes in Music.
To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a Teacher and Form Tutor.
To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with opportunities to achieve their individual potential.
To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
To share and support the academy's responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
To play a full part in the life of the academy community, to support its distinctive aims and aspirational ethos and to encourage staff and students to follow this example.
MUSIC TEACHER EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
QTS or equivalent
PGCE
Music-related degree
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (we can provide you with this training)
