A leading IT solutions provider is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join its team. Specialising in designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures, the company enables organisations to thrive in a digital-first world. The Role

The organisation is looking for a Network Engineer with a strong background in Cisco Wireless and Palo Alto Firewalls to play a key role in delivering network infrastructure projects and providing ongoing BAU support. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mindset to ensure the seamless operation of clients' network environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable network solutions with a focus on Cisco Wireless and Palo Alto Firewalls.
  • Lead and support network infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide BAU support, including troubleshooting, configuration, and performance optimisation of network devices.
  • Conduct network assessments, identify potential risks, and recommend improvements to enhance network security and efficiency.
  • Work closely with internal teams, clients, and vendors to resolve network-related issues and implement best practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance service offerings.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer, preferably in an enterprise or service provider environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco Wireless technologies (e.g., Cisco Meraki, Cisco Catalyst, WLCs, APs).
  • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls (configuration, troubleshooting, security policies, and VPNs).
  • Familiarity with network protocols, routing, and switching (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, etc.).
  • Experience in network security principles, firewall management, and access control policies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, PCNSE, CWNP) are highly desirable.
