Summer Placement (IT/Data)

Our summer placement programme also provides individuals a great insight into the energy industry and ScottishPower.

You’ll gain valuable experience working with people across our organisation. We recruit many of our summer placements to graduate roles, so a placement can be a great way to launch your career.

Our Summer Placement programme operates from June through to September with placements lasting approximately 12 weeks.

Role details

For our 2025 intake, we will be looking for applications from individuals with an interest in either IT/Data related disciplines, such as Cyber, Data Science, Information Technology.

These will be paid placements, and you will be working on real day-to-day projects.

If you are interested in a placement, you can register your interest here. We then anticipate we will be able to contact candidates early Spring with details of any roles we feel would be a match for you.

To apply, you should be in your 2nd or 3rd year of undergraduate studies. You’ll also have strong communication skills, an eagerness to learn, and the ability to work well as part of a team.

We will have placements across our office locations throughout the UK:

1. Northwest of England, Prenton Wirral
2. Central belt of Scotland including our Head Office, Glasgow City Centre
