Technical Underwriter

About Us:
Cedar Underwriting, part of the Stubben Edge Group, provides MGA underwriting solutions for intermediaries. We're seeking a skilled Technical Underwriter to manage Commercial Combined products and other commercial contracts, as well as handle referrals and collaborate on new schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Referral Management: Handle cases outside Coverholders' authority.
2. Commercial Underwriting: Manage quotations, MTAs, and renewals for Direct Brokers.
3. New Schemes Development: Work with the team to create new scheme wordings and documents.
4. Technical Support: Address technical queries and ensure accurate policy wordings.
5. Market Research: Stay ahead of market trends.
6. Training & Reporting: Provide training and reports for stakeholders.

Experience & Skills:

1. Demonstratable experience in commercial insurance products.
2. Proven experience in working across different teams and stakeholders.
3. Strong technical knowledge and experience with insurance wordings across a wide range of Commercial Insurance products.
4. Excellent communicator, analytically minded, with good presentation skills.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and OneNote.

2. Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and concisely.
3. Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
4. Relationship builder with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.

Hours: Mon- Fri 37.hrs
Holiday: 25 Days +BH
