Design CAD Engineer

MarchantCain Group Ltd is a design, development and low volume maker of automotive mechatronic components. Our main customers are independent hyper car and super car OEMs worldwide. Our engineering team is currently under pressure with the volume of work coming in and so we are looking for an experienced, creative and independent-thinking CAD design engineer to join the expanding team. You must be adept at using both Solidworks and CATIA V5 and understand the technical and commercial aspects of design engineering.

Responsibilities:

1. Create models, drawings and bills of materials accurately and according to relevant standards
2. Ensure models, drawings and bills of materials are delivered to specification and project timing plans
3. Work with members of other departments to ensure quality targets are achieved
4. Work with Engineering Manager to create alternative engineering and/or material solutions where possible and required

Experience/Qualification Requirements:

1. Minimum 3 years’ CATIA V5 and Solidworks experience of designing automotive components in OEM or Tier1 supplier
2. Excellent communication at all levels
3. Excellent problem solving skills and ability to use appropriate tools where necessary
4. Ability to conduct FMEA
5. Ability to meet deadlines whilst managing multiple projects
6. Commitment to quality and accuracy and attention to detail
