CAD Technician

A leading Engineering consultancy in West Leeds is looking to recruit a CAD Technician with experience in Civil & Structural Engineering as well as some knowledge of Architectural projects. The CAD Technician will be rewarded by working in a fun relaxed environment that has regular social events in the office and outside and will receive a generous salary up to £40,000 for the right candidate, along with flexible working hours with core hours of 10-3 and work-from-home options.

The CAD Technician will be working on Structural, Civil, and Architectural projects within commercial, industrial, and housing development buildings, including substructure.

CAD Technician Job Overview

1. Collaborating with engineers, architects, and project managers to produce accurate and high-quality design documentation for a variety of projects.
2. Preparing detailed drawings, plans, and layouts based on project specifications and design concepts.
3. Utilizing CAD software to develop and modify drawings for structural, architectural, or mechanical projects.
4. Ensuring design accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

CAD Technician Job Requirements

1. HND / HNC or certification in CAD technology or a related discipline.
2. Proficiency in CAD software, AutoCAD, and Revit.
3. Familiarity with 3D modelling tools.
4. Experience working on multi-disciplinary projects.
5. Basic understanding of engineering or architectural principles.
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawing specifications.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
