The Role:

As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll support the finance team with general ledger operations, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end reporting. You’ll also assist with budgets, VAT returns, supplier payments, and financial accounts while providing cover for the Senior Management Accountant.

Your responsibilities will eventually include:
  1. Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounts.
  2. Handling purchase ledger and managing supplier payments.
  3. Reconciling key balance sheet accounts and assisting with intercompany reconciliations.
  4. Supporting the production of accurate management accounts and year-end audit work.
  5. Monitoring cash flow, aged stock valuation, and VAT returns.
  6. Taking ownership of financial processes and helping improve efficiencies.
What We’re Looking For:

AAT Level 3 qualified or equivalent QBE (2+ years’ experience) in a finance assistant role.
Experience in performing whilst in a general Accounts Assistant role.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to own financial processes.
Good Excel skills.
A team player who thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Someone with a positive attitude, professional approach, and great communication skills.
