Role Overview

Parameta Solutions is seeking a Product Manager to drive data product development within the Energy & Commodities sector across EMEA. This role will focus on identifying and developing new data opportunities from TP ICAP’s broking activities in Oil, Gas, Coal, and Environmental derivatives, ensuring all external data publications are strategically managed and monetized.

The successful candidate will act as the regional subject matter expert, providing market insights, pricing methodologies, and analytics to enhance Parameta Solutions’ offerings. Responsibilities include defining and executing a five-year strategic roadmap, guiding products from ideation to market launch, and collaborating closely with Sales, Technology, Client Services, and Trading Desks to implement complex projects.

This is a high-impact role requiring deep industry expertise, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to drive product innovation in a fast-evolving market.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead product development initiatives for Energy & Commodities data in EMEA, identifying and monetizing new data opportunities from TP ICAP broking activities.
  • Act as the regional subject matter expert on OTC Oil, Gas, Coal, and Environmental derivative data, advising internally and externally on pricing methodologies, trading practices, and analytics.
  • Procure and manage data from broking desks, ensuring all external data publications are streamlined through Parameta Solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a five-year strategic plan, analysing market trends, defining user personas, and supporting P&L projections.
  • Drive products from ideation to market launch, collaborating with internal teams including Sales, Technology, Analytics, and Client Services.
  • Oversee data inventory assessments, optimizing data capture across trading platforms, messaging systems, and surveillance tools to enhance product offerings.
  • Engage with clients and industry bodies to research and recommend data enhancements and new methodologies.
  • Manage multiple projects, proactively driving new business initiatives and supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across Benchmarks & Indices, Regulatory Products, Risk, and Trading Analytics to develop revenue-generating products leveraging Energy & Commodities data.
  • Maintain relationships with senior Energy & Commodities managers, Managing Directors, and Desk Heads to drive product alignment and adoption.
  • Enhance and maintain products within TP ICAP’s databases, including defining specifications, technical requirements, deployment processes, and data presentation on third-party platforms.
  • Support marketing efforts by contributing to product newsletters, industry conference representation, and marketing collateral development.
  • Partner with Sales & Channel Management to provide subject matter expertise, assist in sales campaigns, and support the sales process.
  • Engage in industry events and conferences, with a willingness to travel regionally and internationally to represent Parameta Solutions.
  • Drive operational improvements within TP ICAP by streamlining processes and optimizing workflows.
  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships with third-party data sources to expand product offerings.

Experience / Competences

Essential

  • Experience in a real-time market data environment (either buy-side or sell-side).
  • Proven product management experience in financial services, including bringing revenue-generating products to market.
  • Strong understanding of OTC data within the Energy & Commodities and financial markets, including the instruments required for various businesses.
  • Deep knowledge of the Energy & Commodities market data industry, including services provided by exchanges, Price Reporting Agencies (PRAs), data vendors, IBDs, and other ISVs.
  • Strong communication skills within a brokerage environment.
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent leadership, influencing, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to drive change, champion continuous improvement, and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work to demanding targets and deadlines while maintaining strong personal and team organization.
  • Confidence, professionalism, initiative, and diplomacy in stakeholder interactions.
