Delivery Driver/Laborer

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to handle heavy lifting, and experience in commercial driving. As a Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

We work closely with the Motorsport industry which requires a high demand of deliveries at any set and given time.

The candidate must beflexible and reliable regarding working hours with up to 3 hours over time an evening.

When not out delivering to the set customers, onsite laboring is needed which can be anything from maintaining the site to sawing raw materials.

Working hours will be contracted from 8.30 til 5 30.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a van or lorry to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling of heavy lifting as required.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organisation of goods.
• Maintaining the care and reliability of the company vehicle.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a van driver or delivery driver; commercial driving experience is preferred.
• Valid driving licence with a clean driving record.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as needed.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
• Knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a warehouse environment.
