Engineering Manager ( Hydrogen / CCUS / Energy Transition / Oil& Gas / Petrochemical / Chemical )

Our client is a global operator that has been awarded new projects in the energy transition and is therefore recruiting an Engineering Manager with experience in Oil & Gas, Hydrogen, CCUS, or Hynet.

Location: North West

Responsibilities:

1. Lead delivery of the process safety elements of the project, working with internal and external key stakeholders.
2. Support the selection, qualification, procurement, and delivery of the long lead items required for the hydrogen pipeline network.
3. Support the resolution of engineering and construction challenges, including design changes during the construction phase.
4. Provide evaluated and evidence-based input into critical project decisions throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

1. The ideal candidate will have experience in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Hydrogen, CCUS, and Process Plants.
2. Specific knowledge of UK or international pipeline design and material standards (IGEM, GIS, API, ASME, ISO, ASTM).
3. Experience in the commercial and contract management of suppliers.
4. Project delivery/team experience in pipelines and/or process plants.
5. Experience in leading multidiscipline teams/consultants as an Engineering Manager or similar.
6. Experience in operational support, front-end loading, construction, and/or commissioning phases of process system and pipeline projects.
