The Team

The Strategy, Partner Product and Commercial team reports into Deliveroo’s COO organisation and our mission is to establish Deliveroo as the first-choice on-demand grocery and retail platform for customers across all of our markets.

The Planning & Analytics team sits within the Strategy, Partner Product and Commercial team and is responsible for powering the business with data, insights, and analysis that will improve all three sides of the marketplace - the team optimises for customer outcomes, growth and improved efficiency.

The Role

Deliveroo is hiring a Senior Analyst to join the New Verticals Planning & Analytics Team based in our London HQ, reporting to the Head of Planning & Analytics. This role is largely project-based; starting from initial strategic questions, the role involves working through data to provide insights to drive decision-making at a global level with senior stakeholders.

We are seeking an experienced analyst who has a problem solving mindset, a strong skill set for data analysis and is naturally curious about the three sides of our marketplace. The role offers significant opportunity to learn and deliver large impact as part of a dynamic and fast growing team at Deliveroo. The culture within the team is informal, fast-paced and entrepreneurial. Given the growth of the business and the senior stakeholder exposure, progression in the team can be fast.

Success in this role will require development of effective working relationships across Deliveroo; particularly the link with international markets, as well as the Data & Science, Operations, Commercial and Finance teams.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years experience in an analytical role (data analytics, forecasting or planning) in a related industry; experience in logistics, e-commerce or a customer-obsessed business a plus
  • Proficient in Excel and SQL, scripting languages eg Python/ R a plus, familiarity with using BI software (Tableau, Looker, or similar)
  • Strong presentation skills and an ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical audiences in a clear, simple way, both written and verbally
  • Hands-on mentality and are willing to get your hands dirty with a scrappy entrepreneurial approach to getting work done
  • Driven, hard-working and agile. 'New Verticals' (Grocery & Shopping) are growing rapidly, we are moving very fast so to scale at pace
  • London-based with a minimum of three days required in the office
