What You Will Do
Manage the daily operations of the assigned area(s).
Develop specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
Assess quality of patient care and coordinate patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.
Manage staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. May perform and oversee processes such as scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagement.
Monitor departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Maintain systems to assure adequate levels of supplies and necessary equipment.
Manage daily surgery schedule maintaining communication with all disciplines involved.
Plan and prioritize day-to-day activities of personnel. Adjust staffing to compensate for emergency situations or increase or decrease inpatient census.
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing preferred.
Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred.
Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association preferred.
Education:
High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience
OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 2 years of experience
OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience (Required).
