Energy & Financial Risk Analyst/Manager - London, Madrid or Amsterdam

The Role:

Are you an accomplished risk professional with extensive experience in energy markets, investment analysis, credit, and financial risk? Do you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment where risk management is central to commercial success? We are seeking an energetic and analytical individual to join our team, reporting directly to the Group Treasurer, and drive our risk governance strategy across energy, commercial, financial, and commodity risk areas. You will work closely with Commercial and Finance teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, embedding risk awareness into decision-making processes.

In this role, you will oversee risk management related to power sales, pricing as well as cash and liquidity, hedging, foreign exchange, and credit risks. You will also be responsible for managing open exposures, such as price risks in approved deals pending final agreements and ensuring our energy derivatives trading activities align with acceptable risk levels.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in energy, power markets and trading.
  • Deep understanding of financial markets, hedging, credit risk management, counterparty exposure, liquidity risk, and financial instruments in the energy sector.
  • Expertise in risk and data interrogation and/or financial modelling.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with a proven ability to influence key stakeholders across Commercial, Finance, and senior management.
