A fantastic full-time, permanent opportunity has arisen for a Sales Manager at Penske Porsche Centre Doncaster. Based at our state-of-the-art Doncaster showroom, you will be responsible for overseeing all retail operations and ensuring the delivery of a luxury customer experience while achieving sales and departmental targets. You will play a key role in driving business development, managing the sales team, and maintaining a high standard of performance across the department.
In this role, you will:
- Achieve set departmental targets by leading and motivating the sales team to exceed sales goals and drive performance
- Oversee inventory control, ensuring the correct model mix and product availability while maintaining optimal stock levels
- Collaborate with the Dealer Principal or General Manager to plan and improve sales processes, promotional materials, and inventory management
- Develop and implement effective sales incentive plans in consultation with the leadership team to motivate and reward high performance
- Monitor competitors' activities and implement strategies to protect and grow the department
- Forecast product demand in line with sales and marketing activities and seasonal trends
- Ensure customer follow-up systems are in place and drive exceptional customer service standards
- Lead and develop the sales team, offering coaching, training, and mentoring to enhance skills and performance
- Report on sales performance, budget adherence, and customer satisfaction to the DP or GM
- Manage departmental budgets and expenses to meet or exceed financial goals
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and health & safety standards
- Participate in marketing initiatives to maintain a positive community profile and increase brand presence
About You:
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar leadership role, preferably in automotive or luxury retail
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and achieving financial goals
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with a focus on delivering an outstanding customer experience
- Ability to manage budgets, forecast demand, and make data-driven decisions
- Detail-oriented with a strong ability to oversee operations, inventory, and sales processes
- A passion for luxury cars and a commitment to upholding the Porsche brand values
- Strong understanding of CRM systems and performance management tools
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
