Role: Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist (PICU & NICU)
Site: The Portland Hospital, London
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week with on-call and weekend requirements. We are open to considering part-time applications (either 3 days/week or shorter hours across 5 days)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist to join The Portland Hospital for Women and Children, currently rated “Good” by the CQC. The Portland Hospital is the only private hospital in the UK dedicated to the healthcare of women and children, caring for more than 40,000 children every year. We have a spacious, modern 18 bed unit within PICU (which has expanded from 9 beds and still growing), equipped with the latest technology and cutting-edge treatment all of which is medically supported by our team of Consultant Paediatric Intensivists 24/7.

As a Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist, you will be responsible for working across all aspects of the core pharmacy with main focus on PICU but not exclusively. Other services may include provision of medicines management, advice and evidence-based practice to inpatients and outpatients, patient and aseptic services (no aseptic at the Portland), risk management and clinical governance; quality improvement project and training of junior staff. This role will be ward based with ad-hoc dispensary cover when required.
