Job description

This is a 12 month fixed term contract based 3 days a week in our office in Welwyn Garden City AL7 1EL and 2 days from home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and motivate a team of Finance Administrators. Ensure effective training needs are identified and addressed and make sure cover across team tasks is always present.
  • Review and sign off daily reconciliations. Ensure the payments are correct to our clients and agents and are processed in a timely manner. Monitor and challenge differences and aged balances across various reconciliations.
  • Perform various internal and client reporting in a timely manner.
  • Escalate incidents to a PayPoint leadership level and advise cross functionally the impacts of settlement issues. The ability to support problem solving activities is essential. 
  • Experience in liaising with technical and IT teams is preferential, as system issues will need to be understood and communicated, and the role must ensure a controlled and systematic approach is taken to data correction.
  • Covering for management tasks across the Finance Operations team.
  • Other ad-hoc administration duties and providing cover for other roles in the Finance Operations team.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Strong IT skills with good Excel knowledge
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Flexibility to work extra if required
  • People management or team coordination experience
  • Financial background
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Reconciliation experience - bank account or balance sheet
  • Banking/BACS experience
