An independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in the Esher area is looking to recruit an Accountant for a newly created role within their business. The firm has a diverse client base located primarily in Surrey, London, and some clients have international interests. This is a professional and modern technology firm that embraces a flexible and respectful working environment.

The Role of Accountant:

• Work in a professional and experienced accounting team who are continuing to make significant client wins on a regular basis.
• Prepare statutory accounts and work closely with the Accounts Manager and Partners.
• Manage Quarterly Management Accounts and some ad hoc project work with clients.
• Prepare Quarterly VAT Returns (bookkeeping will be done by other team members).
• Maintain close liaison with the Tax team, particularly around Corporate Tax Returns.

The Candidate:

• Client-focused Accountant with up-to-date Accounts Preparation skills – FRS102 and FRS105: UK GAAP and IFRS is a bonus.
• Qualified By Experience or a Qualified ACA / ACCA accountant; support for those with late papers in ACCA will be provided.
• Tech-savvy and able to adapt to working with Xero and equivalent software.
• Experienced in the preparation of year-end statutory accounts.
• Ideally suited for a practice accountant; the client supports flexible and part-time working arrangements.
• MUST have previous or current experience working within a firm of accountants and managing a small portfolio of clients.

• Salary band set by Fletcher George of £38,000 - £47,000.

Location:

Commutable in Surrey from Esher, Weybridge, Cobham, Kingston, Leatherhead, Surbiton, Chertsey, and Woking.
