Job Description

Veterinary Surgeon – Join Our Supportive, Forward-Thinking Team! Looking for a role where you’re truly valued, supported, and have the freedom to work up cases to a high level? We’re an independent, well-equipped practice, and we’re on the lookout for a sixth vet to complete our close-knit team. Whether you’re a seasoned vet looking for a fresh start or someone eager to grow in a collaborative environment, we’d love to hear from you!

Why You’ll Love Working With Us:
  1. Independent practice – We make our own decisions, prioritising patient care and staff wellbeing over corporate targets.
  2. Experienced, diverse team – You’ll be working alongside a mix of new graduates and vets with over 20 years of experience, so there’s always someone to bounce ideas off.
  3. Flexible working options – We offer a 35-hour full-time week, but we’re open to part-time hours if that suits you better.
  4. Guaranteed ops day – Love surgery? You’ll have a dedicated day for procedures, giving you time to develop and refine your surgical skills.
  5. Regular day off – Because rest is just as important as work!
  6. 20-minute consultations – So you can give each patient the attention they deserve without feeling rushed.
  7. Built-in downtime – Time in your schedule to catch up on admin, work up cases, or just grab a cuppa and recharge.
  8. Unlimited CPD – Want to dive deeper into a special interest or pursue a certificate? We’ll support you every step of the way.
  9. Clinical freedom & full support – Whether you want to handle complex cases in-house or collaborate with specialists, you’ll have the autonomy to make the best clinical decisions with the backing of your team.
Our Facilities & Services:
  1. State-of-the-art equipment – including a CT scanner, hydrotherapy pool, and treadmill, giving you the tools to offer advanced diagnostics and treatment options.
  2. Multidisciplinary care – We specialise in pain management and rehabilitation, offering additional services like hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, acupuncture, and laser therapy to enhance patient care.
  3. Visiting specialists – We regularly host specialists, so you’ll have the chance to collaborate and learn from experts without needing to refer cases externally.
  4. In-house OOH service – We run our own out-of-hours care, meaning better continuity for patients and closer follow-up on complex cases.
  5. Nurse training practice – Our skilled nursing team is always on hand to provide exceptional support, and we’re proud to help train the next generation of veterinary nurses.
The Package:

Salary: Between £40,000-£90,000, dependent on experience.
Generous holiday allowance.
Unlimited CPD funding.
Career development opportunities.
A supportive, team-first environment where you can truly thrive.
