FPGA Design Engineer

Job Title: FPGA Design Engineer

Work Arrangement: Work from home when project allows

Contract Duration: 12+ months, 40 hours weekly

Security Clearance: Current in scope US Secret clearance; STRONG preference for candidates with Top Secret clearance

Required Qualifications:

1. BSEE with 10+ years relevant experience
2. Fluent in Verilog/VHDL
3. Understanding of networking layered models and protocols
4. Implementation of FPGA functions to accelerate software (e.g., checksum engines, packet parsing)
5. Experience with Microchip Libero tools, PolarFire (SoC) devices, and IP
6. Experience with joint design/debug with embedded software
7. Experience debugging FPGA fabric designs with embedded processor software on hardware
8. Experience with design closure including timing, power, and area for SWaP constrained designs
9. Familiarity with high-speed interfaces (10Gbit Ethernet, PCIe, DDR4, LVDS, etc.)
