We’re hiring a Financial Controller

Location: Woodgate Valley, Birmingham B32 3DE (hybrid — minimum 3 days a week in the office)

Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 (depending on experience)

We’re now looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to join our Senior Management Team. You’ll lead our UK & German accounts team of five and play a key role in shaping financial strategy and supporting our next phase of expansion.

What you’ll be doing:

1. Overseeing all day-to-day finance operations and strategic planning across three trading subsidiaries
2. Leading budgeting and financial reporting, delivering clear insights for the board
3. Managing multi-currency treasury, financial risk, and working capital
4. Mentoring and developing a high-performing finance team
5. Preparing statutory accounts and managing external auditors
6. Contributing to business strategy and driving profitability
7. Improving systems and processes for scalability and efficiency

What we’re looking for:

1. Proven financial management experience in an SME environment
2. A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
3. Strong commercial acumen and confidence to influence at board level
4. Experience managing and mentoring a small finance team
5. Someone proactive, solutions-focused, and ready to challenge and drive change
